Fingers rough and sliced
hash marks of black
sand papery digits
grappling with tools
shredded skin
snaggle tooth cuticles
cracked knuckles
greasy and black
sometimes
minuscule items
slipping through my fingers
struggling to hold on
not to lose it
them
everything
